"A wiki enables documents to be written collaboratively, in a simple markup language using a web browser. A single page in a wiki is referred to as a "wiki page", while the entire body of pages, which are usually highly interconnected via hyperlinks, is "the wiki". A wiki is essentially a database for creating, browsing and searching information."
On our pages, we'll be providing resources and information about the topics we're studying in World Literature. We will also be sharing our original writing portfolios. Each student will have a portfolio space wiki page and some pages will be collaborative.
How to navigate this wiki:
Take a look at the tabbed sections above. The page tab shows the page I am working on right now. The discussion tab will be a space where you and I can ask questions about the page we are working on and suggest changes. The history page will show who has made changes to the page. The notifiy me tab can notify my email that changes have been made to the page, so that I know to check it.
The blue task bar has many standard word processing tools -- bold, italic, underline, text type, ordering lists with numbers or bullets, horizontal line, link to a web site, unlink to a web site, insert a picture, insert a widget, insert a character, and insert some html code. Always remember to SAVE when you are finished with your typing.
